Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

Johnnie Johnson took command of No. 144 Wing (Canadians) based at RAF Kenley in February 1943. Spitfire Mk. IX EN398 became his regular mount. Being a Wing Commander now meant his initials could be painted on the machine. His Spitfires now carried JE-J. His call sign was given as "Greycap". During the six months of flying with EN398, Johnson had shot down 12 enemy aircraft, sharing the destruction of 5 more. Remarkably, EN398 never caused him any technical trouble and never suffered any damage due to enemy action.
