Artist's Description
This particular aircraft was flown by Clint Johnson on a MiG killing mission on June 20th, 1965. Four A-1s were jumped by two MiG-17s, who attempted to maneuver with the Skyraiders. One of the MiGs was downed after getting slow in front of the Skyraider's 20mm cannons and the kill was awarded jointly to two of the Skyraider pilots, Lt. Clint Johnson and Lt. Charles Hartman.
